The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute
In Las Vegas, Nevada The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute will serve as a research clinic as well as a major fund raising venue for the treatment and cure of debilitating brain diseases. DPA was tasked with developing the gardens and landscape to compliment the intricate design created by Frank Gehry. Continuing with the client’s concept of the events of the mind, our designs respond to and complements Gehry’s unique ideas. The fundraising/entertainment side of this sculptural building will be graced by gardens of simple but graceful grasses that respond to the waves of the sculptural wing of the building. The research facility gardens are comprised of blocks of planted color and hardscape that marry the stacked block building concept to the gardens.
