Bonita Library
This facility is a wonderful asset to for the community. Beautiful views of the library and from within the library to the outdoors. This 10,000 square foot San Diego County Branch Library is located on a primary commercial street and is tucked back into the site. The Library is one component of a master planned small Community Campus that also includes a 4,000 square foot Local History Museum, Public Safety Center, Veteran’s Memorial and a Community Courtyard. DPA worked closely with the design team to compliment the architecture and embrace the wonderful site components.
Citrus trees were included along the front of the property playing homage to the old citrus groves of earlier days. Grasses we included as another major drought tolerant landscape feature. Also included were outdoor reading patios with quite contemplative views overlooking the adjoining golf course.
